The Mars Orbiter Mission,MOM finishes 1000 days in Space.| What's Surprising about that | Future Plans of ISRO

India is One of the fastest growing Hubs in Space Technology. It constantly making us feel proud each time they held a mission.
The Success rate is really Fantastic.

In One among its recent launches, our workhorse, PSLV (Polar Satellite Launching Vehicle) has launched 104 satellites into space from multiple countries to stand in the first place in the world in doing such a herculean task.

Back in 2013, almost 4 years ago, ISRO has launched Mangalyan, MOM (Mars Orbiter Mission).with a Budget of INR 450 Crores.
That's really incredible! we've sent an Object to Mars with a budget cheaper than the making of a Hollywood film, Gravity.

Actually, the Orbiter was expected to last just 6 months after it reaches Orbit of Mars.
Surprisingly, ISRO believed that it has enough fuel to last few more years.
And it DID!

Till Now, it finished 388 Orbits around the Mighty Mars and still going...

That makes it 1000 Earth Days to survive in space.

One more Update is that India is planning to launch Chandrayaan-II in 2018.
